DCDW Wrap Party Extravaganza

Our week of celebration culminates in a day festival featuring crafty activities from local vendors, bocce, corn hole, and pumpkin fun!

Meet the DCDW team Saturday, October 29th at Union Market’s newest outdoor beer garden, Tap & Garden, to raise a glass and toast to this year’s DC Design Week. Together, we’ll enjoy an afternoon of local crafts, food, drinks, and the company of fellow DC artists.

Bring Everyone!

Guests of all ages are welcome, so bring your family, friends, coworkers, and roommates, and get those October vibes going with some fall festivities.

Drink & Ink: Screen Printing with Soul & Ink

Soul & Ink will be introducing their new hands-on workshop called Drink & Ink, combining two popular past times that pair well together - imbibing in ice cold beverages, while creating art! In this case, using the vintage technique of screen printing.

During this activity, guests will be able to choose their own adventure by selecting designs based on the illustrations by Austin Breed created specifically for DCDW. Guests will then be able to hand pull the designs to create their own limited edition poster.

Stay tuned to their IG @soulandinkcrew for upcoming Drink & Ink workshops throughout the city.

Owners of Soul & Ink

Soul & Ink’s participatory live screen printing events reshape traditional relationships between art and audiences.

Soul & Ink is the brainchild of husband and wife award-winning design team, Frankie and Sherry Meneses. Passionate about design for social change, they wanted to find a means to step away from the computer and into the community.

They were inspired to create a mobile screen printing unit after seeing how thrilled their friends were at screen printing parties they hosted at home. It was an instant hit! Live screen printing is a fun, engaging activity as well as a powerful marketing platform.
