Reading Hours
A space for shared references and creative discovery.
Lyle Hotel
Thursday, Oct. 1 - Friday, October 2 • 12:00 PM–5:00 PM
Happy Hour: Thursday October 1 • 5:00 PM–7:00 PM
Reservations required.
Reading Hours brings together books and publications selected by designers, artists, educators, and creative voices from across Washington D.C.
Designed as an invitation to linger, the exhibition extends naturally into Lyle’s intimate spaces and its connection to the surrounding neighborhood. Presented throughout Lyle’s Gallery, Conservatory, and Drawing Room, the collection offers a glimpse into what others learn from, and carry with them. Spend time, browse the collection at your own pace and discover the references shaping creative practices across the city.
Linger a litter longer. Join us following Reading Hours: Happy Hour on Thursday, October 1 for drinks and conversation at Lyle bar to celebrate the kickoff of DC Design Week.
