National Gallery of Art Library

Tickets available soon

Go inside the National Gallery of Art Library, where books, exhibition and auction catalogues, rare materials, artists’ books, periodicals, and extensive image collections support research across art, architecture, design, and visual culture.

The visit will introduce participants to using the Library and navigating its research resources, followed by a closer look at selected materials in the Rare Book Room. Along the way, participants will see how a research trail develops, how one reference can lead to another, and how books, images, catalogues, and primary sources can open new connections and directions for creative inquiry.

Space is limited. Advance registration required.
