Source Material Public Opening
Presented by Nommo House and AIGA DC as part of DC Design Week, Source Material considers what comes before the work and what the work is made from.
Sunday, October 4 • 3:00–8:00 PM
Carroll Square Art Gallery
Set within Carroll Square Gallery in Downtown Washington, DC, the exhibition brings together artists and designers whose practices explore the references, memories, personal archives, and physical materials that we gather, inherit, and transform. Move through the space discovering works crafted from textiles, found objects, and everyday matter, where physical medium becomes a tool for storytelling and connection.
More than an art show, Source Material is an opportunity to gather with the district's creative community and experience how our shared environments and histories inform what we make.
